Pakistan looking for medals in Common Wealth Games

Aisam-ul-Haq is very hopeful for gold medal in Common Wealth Games after the successful run at US Open 2010.

Pakistani 76 member squad is on New Delhi for the 19th Common Wealth Games. Tennis Star Aisam- ul-Haq is hopeful for the medal after the successful run in US Open 2010.

Pakistan will take part in seven events including Hockey, Tennis, Shooting, Wrestling, Weight lifting, Squash and Boxing.

Tennis Star Aisam is very confident that he and his partner Aqeel Khan will try their level best to earn the gold medal for Pakistan.

“Though the [Commonwealth Games] competition is tough as the players from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa will be taking part, we will try our best to earn [the] gold medal,” Aisam told reporters before departing for Delhi.

Pakistan Hockey team is also willing to take revenge of the World Cup, where green shirts were ended up in 12th position in the same venue. Pakistan hockey team is in the tough group where they will face world champions Australia, India, Malaysia and Scotland.

19 year old boxer Haroon who is brother of world champion Amir Khan, is also hopeful for the medal with 4 other boxers.

Shooting team had their practice in Germany and hockey team practiced in Netherlands.

In this tough time period Pakistani squad in looking for some brightness for the nation and Pakistan really needed their sportsmen to be at the top of their game so they can rejoice again.
