Amir , Asif and Butt send their responses to ICC over their provisional suspension in spot-fixing scandal.

Three of Pakistan’s top players, Captain Salman Butt , Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif were banned by ICC after the Lords Test.

The ICC will convene a preliminary hearing into the allegations in 40 days time, Rizvi said.

The players had asked for a hearing to hear their point of view, Rizvi said. “The ICC will now convene a hearing in 40 days time.”

“The three players -- Salman, Asif and Aamir met PCB chairman Ijaz Butt on Tuesday and have sent replies to the notices of charges served to them by the ICC through our British lawyer Elizabeth Robertson,” Rizvi told AFP.

These three players were named by the News of The World in a report of deliberating under performing for monetary benefits.

News Paper also suggest that Salman Butt and Kamran Akmal also notified by the ICC in a separate case of match-fixing.

PCB is waiting for the report from Scotland Yard, nothing have been proved yet so its hard to say what action PCB will take but its good that players are back in Pakistan.
